In May, Commencement speaker David Cote '76, chairman and CEO of Honeywell, passed along some of what he learned after he was asked to move off campus for being a "general troublemaker." Know yourself, he told the 2,743 graduates, push yourself, realize that hard work does not pay off unless you're working on the right thing, and enjoy life. "In the Western world we oftentimes forget the reason we live so well is because our parents and grandparents worked harder than the rest of the world to get here. The more you feel entitled to things, the tougher your life will be, because that's just not how the world works," Cote said. "Work hard and make sure it's on the right things."
