We'll Have The Lobster Next
As the senior class picnic got underway in May 1985, an unnamed senior took pity on two thristy canine companions. At the picnic, now called Grad Week Celebration, seniors dine on lobsters, steamed clams, barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, and — as a special recognition of their status as campus elders — beer, in limited quantities. This May, courtesy of the Alumni Association, seniors also took a cruise on Lake Winnipesaukee. Recognize anyone above? E-mail alumni@unh.edu and we'll publish the names in the next issue.
Karen Pastor '86 of Kittery Point, Maine identified the man feeding water as her husband, Jeffrey "Bass" Basseches '85 and the dogs as Millie and Alex. Our thanks to a number of alums, including Jeffrey Alan Hoye '01, Aveen Kenny Berger '88, Drew Kiefaber '86, '89G and Ellen Pulsifer Ervin '88 who also identified the dog-friendly student in the photo.
