UNH has been ranked as one of the 100 best values among public colleges by Kiplinger's magazine. The university ranked ahead of all other New England public institutions, placing 56th. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ranked first; the University of Vermont placed 62nd; the University of Connecticut, 72nd; and UMass Boston, 80th. A 71 percent six-year graduation rate made UNH a standout among public universities. The Kiplinger's ranking was based on a number of measures, including entrance exam scores, graduation rates, student-faculty ratios and cost of attendance. ~
