Bagpiper Gayle Torla '02 piped the annual Parade of Classes to the Memorial Union Building during Reunion Weekend 2003. Torla, of Northwood, N.H., helps carry on her family's musical traditions: she also plays the penny whistle, Irish button box accordion, concertina, flute and Uilleann pipes. Members of the Class of 1953 turned out 157 strong to celebrate their 50th Reunion. The class gift of $2,352,136 is the second highest class gift in the history of the university.
